Holiday hosting season is in full swing and we wanted to share some tips to make your entertaining easy, elegant and eco-friendly! With the kids out of school and all the family and friends dropping in, it can be a little overwhelming! But we are here too help with a useful holiday guide to setting your table.
Setting up a beautiful table is a lot easier than one would think! By adding a few decorative details you can convert your tablescape from bland to fab! Dried greenery and a few holiday baubles are all we used to style our table.
A simple ribbon around our pillow boxes is cute way to present a small treat or gift for your guests while serving as decor for your table.
The trickiest part of setting a table is remembering where all your cutlery is suppose to go! While there is nothing wrong with making it up as you go, it’s always nice to know the proper way to set the table.
Above is a simple diagram showcasing the formal way to set the table. Smaller utensils for starters sit on the outside as you work your way in with each course. The knife for buttering bread is set on the smaller plate to the top left of the dinner plate. Your beverages live to the top right. Lastly your dessert spoon sits patiently above the plate waiting for the sweet treat!
