When we are throwing parties, we do our best to make sure everyone is equally taken care of. If we are offering cocktails to our adult guests, we want to avoid making our younger guests feel left out. Luckily, there are plenty of creative and delicious drinks we love serving to our younger guests, and which they always seem to love as well.
Lemonade: Lemonade is a timeless classic for a reason. It is delicious, refreshing, and easy to make. You can prepare a large batch of lemonade by combining lemon juice, sugar, water, and ice. Although lemonade is usually associated with summertime, you should feel free to serve it year-round. You can introduce addition variety by serving strawberry, blueberry, or even mango lemonade. The possibilities are nearly endless!
Shirley Temples: Shirley Temples are always a hit with the kids. They are also easy to make! Combine Sprite, 7up, or ginger ale with grenadine and garnish with a maraschino cherry. The kids will probably be guzzling these down by the gallon. They only downside is that you are going to have to deal their sugar rush! You might even find yourself feeling a little nostalgic while you are mixing Shirley Temples. There is no need to feel guilty if you sneak a sip or two. We won’t tell anyone.
Mocktails: Kids love being treated like adults. Preparing mocktails for them is guaranteed hit. Drinks like mojitos are easy to turn into mocktails, all you have to do is leave out the rum. Daiquiris are a little more labor intensive, but the kids will be sure to love them. You can prepare a variety of flavors from strawberry to blackberry. While you have the blender our, consider serving virgin pina coladas, which are refreshing and delicious.
