In our previous blog post, we discussed the varied uses of baking cups! This week we want to share some ideas on how to use Cake Stands to WOW your guests with your food display skills, while getting practical use of limited space on the table for all your food/decor items!
By simply alternating the different height configurations of the Cake Stands you are able to achieve a simple, undulating pattern which gives you different levels to work with.
Pro Tip: place items that are likely to drip, like sauces and gravies on the table, easy to grab items that don’t require utensils to serve on the mid level and finally items that require utensils on the top tiers! And if you find that you have some extra space on your Cake Stand throw in some decorative elements to give it some balance!
Stacking your cake stands can be a useful trick when you have smaller items like finger foods, fruits and nuts, mini-desserts, etc. Now, you do lose some space on the plate so it’s important to test things out in advance to make sure everything going to fit properly!
Pro Tip: Less is more! Not every stand has to be fully covered with food. Balance the look out by using some of the stands for decorative elements.
A wise girl once said, “Why don’t we have both?” So, both we shall have! Combining the two previously mentioned techniques creates a truly magnificent structure that is sure to impress even your Grinchiest guest!
Pro Tip: don’t be afraid to experiment! Logistically the larger plate needs to be on the bottom but you can play with the different heights of the swappable stands to create unique looks that are functional for you!
