Planning a Dinosaur Themed Party

We remember last year when Disney announced the 2016 release of Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, we marked our diaries for the influx of Dinosaur parties that would become the trend again.  You see, it’s hard to find a little one who doesn’t love Dinosaurs. So with the movie hitting theaters this month, there’s no better time to throw a dinosaur themed party.

Several years ago, when the first Jurassic Park came out, dinosaur parties were all about using the colors like black, red and yellow. Today, things have changed a lot! Most of the dinosaur parties we see now love using lime greens, with compliments of yellow and blue. These are softer, more neutral colors which make them particularly fitting for a child’s birthday. If the weather is nice, you can consider hosting your dinosaur party outside where these colors will blend in beautifully. Create an area to host the party that has a rustic vibe, after all, dinosaurs are from a long long time ago.

Start by sending out the party details to your little guests using our Big Foot Dino invitations. This will get them excited to attend. Now it’s time to perfect the dinosaur party. Decorations and fun are going to be working hand in hand! Start off focusing on something easy – dinosaurs! Get as many as you possibly can. Get small plastic dinosaur toys, dinosaur cutouts and dinosaur costumes. Don’t forget Paper Eskimo’s apple green themed plates, cups and napkins for the table setting. With all those little ones running around, you should consider entertainment at your party. If there is a local reptile handling business in your town, ask them if they do party visits. Many do. That will be a guaranteed hit and a fun learning opportunity as well!
