Keeping kids entertained is a never ending job. They are energetic, rambunctious, and limitlessly curious. We try to avoid using the television for entertainment as often as possible. We prefer to send the outside where they can enjoy the sun and burn off a bit of that excess energy. Sometimes though, usually as part of a family outing, we like to take them to the movies. Knowing what movie to take them to isn’t always easy. One upcoming flick has managed to catch our eye though, Disney Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur.
What it is About
Now, we have only seen the trailers, but we think we have a pretty good grasp on what the movie is all about. It takes place on a version of Earth where the dinosaurs never went extinct. Oh, another small difference, they can talk. Of course. It follows the story of a young Apatosaurus who becomes separated from his family. In his search to rejoin them, he encounters a young human caveboy named Spot. They become fast friends. Together the face the wilds of this prehistoric world on their quest to return home and find their families.
Why We Like It
Well, there are a lot of reason we are exciting about this movie, but first and foremost – it is about family, friendship and fun. This is the kind of film we love taking kids to because it looks like it is going to teach really important lessons. Plus, The Good Dinosaur is being brought to us by the same people who made Finding Nemo, Inside Out and Up. They have yet to lead us astray. The Good Dinosaur looks like it is going to be the kind of film that parents and kids alike can enjoy. The movie is being released around the world on November 25th, so head out and get your tickets today!
