We've all dreamt about an exotic summer getaway, what it would be like to dine al fresco in a charming villa on the Amalfi Coast. Taking in the expanse of brilliant jewel-toned seas surrounded by steep cliffs of vivid green peppered with electric yellow fruit synonymous with the region, lemons.
As the heat begins to dwindle and the days grow shorter, we wanted to celebrate the end of summer in style.
We paired the softness of our powder blue collection with the modern zest out our limoncello line to form a dreamy and refreshing combination that perfectly encompasses the mood of our dream Italian getaway.
We added some glassware to add a hint of sophistication, because let’s face it you can’t truly capture the essence of Italy without the wine!
For the menu we decided to keep it light and simple! To start we sliced up a rustic roasted garlic loaf, pairing it with some rosemary infused olive oil and added a dash of salt and sprinkling of pepper.
We followed up with an antipasto platter (if you need some assistance on how to build your own, check out our previous post: How To Build The Perfect Antipasto Platter). For this one we selected two Italian cheeses, a hard Pecorino Romano and soft Bocconcini. For our meats we used Prosciutto and Genoa Salami. To finish it off we included a bowl of marinated olives, sliced figs and almonds.
For the main attraction we went with lemon and goat cheese ravioli. If you want true authenticity, try your hand at making your own fresh pasta. It was surprisingly not as daunting a task as one would think, given you have the proper tools to do it. The results are worth the effort and your guest will be stunned by your culinary expertise!
Ending the meal on a sweet note is a must! We filled our baking cups with lemon flavored Italian ice garnished with strips of lemon rind to beautifully compliant your Italian experience.
We hoped you enjoyed the journey as much as we did! Remember we believe that entertaining should be made easy, and we strive to always give you all the tips and tricks to make you the hostess with the mostest while keeping it flawlessly effortless!
