At one point or another, almost every girl has wanted to be a ballerina. For the self-proclaimed girly girls, the appeal lies in the soft satin slippers, pastel pinks, pretty tutus and shimmering tights. When Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake begins to plays one is instantly transported to a place where dancing is the only way to express oneself. So we thought: what better idea for a little girl’s birthday than a Ballerina Party Theme?
A little gold foil and candy hearts fixed with icing to macaroons will have your tutu wearing guests twirling on their toes! Just make sure your spread is full of shades of pink, and don’t worry about overdoing it. This party should be pink all the way down to your beverages! We suggest pink lemonade or strawberry milkshakes.
The first thing most people think of at the mention of a ballerina theme is TULLE! Tulle as a table runner! Big tulle bows tied to the back of chairs! Tulle wrapped bonbonieres! Tulle draped from the ceiling. It would probably be a good idea to keep the flammability of your soiree to a minimum. We suggest keeping it classy and leaving the tulle for tutu’s, wedding veils or as a protection from mosquitoes when you are camping. Stick to simple gold and pink decor with a few floral accents.
We’ve included with this theme a FREE downloadable invitation which you can customize and print, as well as a gift tag download designed to adorn our treat boxes as a way to thank your guests!
